The Kitchen That Kept Its Appliances
Every cabinet, benchtop and surface replaced — around an oven, fridge and dishwasher that were all still fine.

BeforeAfter- The job
- Arched raised-panel oak, a mosaic splashback in four colours, a fluorescent panel across the ceiling, and a benchtop the previous owner had scorched beside the cooktop.
- What we did
- New shaker joinery in warm greige with brass hardware, a stone benchtop and matching splashback, engineered oak flooring, rattan pendants over the sink run, undercabinet lighting, and a new brass mixer. The oven, cooktop, rangehood, dishwasher and fridge were all retained.
- Timeline
- Four weeks, kitchen usable most of the way through
- What it cost
- Kitchens typically $20,000–$60,000
- The result
- A kitchen that reads fully renovated for a fraction of a full rebuild — because the layout, and half the appliances, were already right.
